Who is JobYard for?+
Sole traders and small trade/service businesses in Ireland and the UK that want straightforward customer, job, quote, schedule, invoice and repeat-service management.
How many team members can use it?+
The launch plan supports up to 5 active users in total, including the owner. Each person has their own login and can be assigned a calendar colour.
Does the customer need an account?+
No. A customer can open the private quote or invoice link you send them and can accept a quote without registering for JobYard.
Can I use JobYard for annual servicing?+
Yes. Equipment records can hold service intervals and next-service dates, while follow-ups and recurring work help bring due customers back into the diary.
Can I store boiler or heat-pump details?+
Yes. Equipment records can include type, manufacturer, model, serial number, location, installation date, warranty, service dates, private documents and photos.
Are service reports certificates?+
No. JobYard service reports are business service records. Where regulated work requires a statutory or prescribed certificate, the trade business must use the appropriate certificate.
Can customers pay online?+
A business that connects Stripe can offer Pay Now on eligible invoices through Stripe Checkout. JobYard does not store customer card numbers.
Does JobYard send automatic emails?+
Customer email actions currently open the trade business’s normal email application with a prepared message. JobYard can provide installer-side push notifications and scheduled operational reminders.
Does JobYard handle Irish VAT?+
JobYard supports common Irish VAT treatments, including mixed line rates and reverse-charge wording, and includes a two-thirds-rule check. The business remains responsible for confirming the correct tax treatment.
What does the accountant get?+
Reports can produce an Excel Accountant Pack covering sales, VAT analysis, payments, outstanding invoices and job margins, plus a sales CSV when required.
Can I remove staff later?+
Yes. Business owners can remove another team member. Their access is removed and future assignments are cleared while historic business records remain.
Can I install it on my phone?+
Yes. JobYard is designed as a progressive web app and can be added to a phone home screen.
