Privacy policy

Last updated: [add date at launch]

1. What we collect

Your account email and password, your business details such as name, logo, address, and VAT number, and the customer, job, quote, and invoice records you create.

2. Why we collect it

To run the service: creating quotes and invoices, showing them to your customers when you send a link, keeping your schedule, and remembering your business and VAT settings so they appear correctly on every document.

3. Where it is stored

Data is stored with Supabase, our database and file storage provider. Photos and logos are stored in Supabase Storage. We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties.

4. Your customers' data

When you add a customer's name, address, phone number, or email to JobYard, you are the one responsible for having a lawful reason to hold that information, in the same way you would if you kept it in a paper diary or a spreadsheet. JobYard stores it on your behalf so you can send them quotes and invoices.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR, you can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Contact [add contact email at launch] to make a request.

6. Cookies

JobYard uses a small number of essential cookies to keep you logged in. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted here.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent to [add contact email at launch].

This is a starting template, not a finished legal document. Have it reviewed before relying on it, particularly around GDPR obligations for the customer data your users store in JobYard.
