Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of JobYard, the job-management service available through jobyard.ie and related JobYard web applications. They form an agreement between the business or sole trader using JobYard (“you”) and the operator of JobYard (“JobYard”, “we”, “us”). JobYard is intended for business and professional use by trades and service businesses, not personal consumer use.

By creating an account, accepting an invitation to a JobYard business, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

JobYard provides tools for managing customers, jobs, quotes, schedules, team assignments, installed equipment, service records, invoices, payments information, reminders, reports and related business records. Features may be added, improved or withdrawn as the service develops.

JobYard helps you prepare and organise business records. It does not provide tax, accounting, legal, regulatory, safety or engineering advice. VAT guides, rate choices and warnings are practical software aids only. You remain responsible for checking the treatment that applies to your work.

You must provide accurate account information and keep login credentials secure. The person who creates a business is treated as an owner. Owners can invite other people and control their access. On the standard JobYard launch plan, a business may have up to five active users in total, including owners.

Owners are responsible for deciding who should have access. Removing a team member removes that person’s access to the business but does not erase historical jobs, invoices, service records or other business records they worked on.

You retain your rights in the customer, job, quote, invoice, equipment, photo, document and other content you enter or upload. You give JobYard the limited permission needed to host, process, back up, display and transmit that content to operate the service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis and any necessary permissions to enter personal data, photographs, documents or other information into JobYard. Do not upload information that you are not entitled to hold or share.

You are responsible for the description, price, VAT treatment, scope, validity period and other content of quotes and invoices. A customer can view a quote or invoice through the private link you send them. Treat those links as confidential and send them only to the intended recipient.

JobYard may record events such as a quote being viewed or accepted. These records support your workflow but do not replace any contract wording, statutory notice, signature or evidence that may be required for a particular transaction.

Equipment records and JobYard service reports are records created from information entered by you or your team. Unless a document expressly says otherwise, a JobYard service report is not a statutory certificate, regulatory inspection certificate or manufacturer warranty document. You are responsible for using any legally required forms or certificates for regulated work.

If a business connects Stripe, eligible invoices can direct customers to Stripe-hosted checkout. Card information is handled by Stripe and is not stored by JobYard. Stripe’s terms, eligibility requirements and processing charges apply to the connected business. You remain responsible for the underlying sale, refunds, disputes, chargebacks, taxes and customer service.

JobYard may also let you record payments received by cash, bank transfer or another method. You are responsible for making sure those records match the money actually received.

Current plan prices and included limits are shown on JobYard’s pricing page or at the point a paid subscription is offered. Prices may change for future billing periods. Where a recurring paid plan is active, any applicable renewal and cancellation information will be shown before payment is taken. Ending a subscription does not remove obligations or amounts already due.

You must not use JobYard unlawfully; attempt to access another business’s data; interfere with security or availability; upload malware; send abusive, deceptive or unsolicited communications; misuse customer data; or use the service to facilitate fraud or other unlawful activity. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, data or the service.

We work to keep JobYard available and reliable, but no online service is uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, supplier outages, internet failures and other events may affect access. You should keep any independent records that your business is legally required to retain and should not rely on JobYard as the only copy of irreplaceable information.

JobYard’s software, branding, interface, documentation and original content belong to JobYard or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of them to you. You may use the service for your business while your account is authorised, but may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or exploit the service except where law expressly permits it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, JobYard is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, loss caused by incorrect information entered by a user, tax or VAT decisions, work performed by a trade business, customer disputes, or third-party services outside JobYard’s control.

You remain responsible for reviewing quotes, invoices, reports and exports before relying on or sending them. If applicable law gives you rights that cannot be limited by contract, those rights continue to apply.

You may stop using JobYard at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for serious or repeated breach of these Terms, unlawful use, security risk or non-payment of an applicable paid plan. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice before a non-urgent suspension.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction rules that apply and cannot lawfully be excluded. The courts of Ireland will have jurisdiction where permitted by law.

We may update these Terms as JobYard changes or where legal or operational requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published here. Material changes will be communicated through JobYard or another reasonable channel where appropriate.
